My favourite place
I love to travel and visit different places in Edinburgh but there is one of my favourite places that I have to visit every day. Fortunately, it is 5 minute walk from my house.
Saughton Park is a large public park located in the west of Edinburgh, Scotland. The park covers over 60 acres and offers a range of amenities and activities for visitors of all ages. It is a popular place with both locals. The park has several gardens, including a rose garden, a walled garden, and a sensory garden. The gardens are full of plants, flowers and sculptures, making them a great place for a stroll or a picnic
.
Saughton Rose Garden is a beautiful garden
located in Saughton Park, with over 3,000 roses of various varieties and colours, making it a popular destination for visitors who enjoy the beauty of flowers. The rose garden is well-maintained and designed with winding paths and benches where visitors can sit and admire the colourful flowers. And right here my favourite place is the maze, where they can chase my mom! Unfortunately during the madness, we have to be careful if there are other people in this place because officially I can't be let off the leash in the whole garden.
But in fact, one of the main attractions of the park is a small forest, right at one entrance. It is maybe 50 m long but it is my favourite place that I have to visit every time I am there. See in the pictures how wonderful it is there!
The Walk of the Leith River runs through Saughton Park and is home to many wildlife including ducks and swans. and this is another place in the city that looks like a big forest. I love jumping over the wall and checking on the ducks.
