Spring fun In Pentlands
The Pentland Hills, also known as the Pentlands, are a range of hills located to the southwest of Edinburgh, Scotland. The range extends for approximately 20 miles (32 km) from the town of Carlops in the west to the outskirts of Edinburgh in the east.
The Pentlands are popular with hikers, walkers, and outdoor enthusiasts due to the many trails and paths that crisscross the hills, as well as the stunning views of Edinburgh and the surrounding countryside that can be seen from the summits. The Pentlands are also home to a variety of flora and fauna, including birds of prey, deer, and rare plants. In addition to recreational use, the hills are also used for farming and forestry, and several reservoirs in the area provide drinking water to Edinburgh and the surrounding area.
There are a few activities that we always have to do in the Pentlands during our trips, but I always evaluate the possibilities individually and choose such paths that the dog is happy and the owner is not nervous.
Hiking
This is the most popular trip I run with dogs. We will go on a hike together, enjoying the beautiful views and fresh air.
Swimming
There are plenty of lakes in the Pentlands where my pupils love to play.
As you can see, Watson loves water, but he is not very fond of the one from the shower.
Sometimes it is also possible to meet feathered friends.
Watson's favourite activity is running, running, and running, but of course, preferably with some friendly doggie. Today we met my friend with her two dogs: Isle and Skye. You can watch some videos on my YouTube account. Check in about us.
And this is what a tired but very happy face looks like. He doesn't know yet that a shower awaits him at home...
